We’ve grown from a small (but mighty) team of 17 in 2023 to over 75 in 2025 (and counting). The Role
We are seeking a "Insert Title" for Akash Homes, based in "Insert Location", Alberta.
The Opportunity
Building something new is a privilege. This is a net-new role at Akash Homes—meaning you’ll be the first person to shape it. You’ll be responsible for building out a recruitment function that doesn’t just rely on job postings to attract talent, but actively seeks out the best people in the markets we serve.
One year at Akash Homes is like three years elsewhere. Due to our rapid expansion and unique operational challenges, this role will push you to grow while making a direct impact on the company's success.

Top 3 Priorities for Your First 6 Months
- Build a solid talent pipeline for critical roles across all markets we operate in.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and strengthen our employer brand.
- Establish internal recruitment processes that set a high standard for efficiency and quality.
What You’ll Work On
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for roles across the business, from job posting to offer
- Proactively source and network to identify top talent, building and maintaining a bench of candidates for critical positions
- Partner with leaders to understand current and future hiring needs, and create proactive sourcing strategies
- Develop relationships with community organizations, universities, colleges, and networking groups across all active markets
- Explore innovative sourcing approaches, such as relocation programs or market-to-market recruitment
- Oversee the use of our HRIS (Rippling) for recruitment, ensuring it is optimized for efficiency and a strong candidate experience
- Design and deliver training to hiring managers to strengthen recruitment capability across the company
- Gather and share market intelligence on talent availability, wages, and employer brand perception
- Represent Akash Homes at job fairs, recruitment events, and networking opportunities to build brand visibility and attract talent
What You’ll Bring

- Proven experience in recruitment, ideally in both internal and agency settings
- A proactive approach to sourcing—you don’t just wait for applications, you go out and find the right people
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a wide range of roles and industries
- Comfort in a stand-alone role, managing the full recruitment portfolio end-to-end
- Enthusiasm for building something new and contributing to a growing, fast-moving organization
About
We’re less concerned about formal degrees and more interested in your ability to deliver results. That said, here are some credentials that would be considered an asset:
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- CPHR designation or agency recruitment experience is an asset
