This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist based in Canada.

Join a fast-growing AI technology environment serving millions of users worldwide, where talent acquisition plays a critical role in scaling the business and shaping its future. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will work closely with executive leadership and business teams to attract exceptional talent across multiple functions, with a particular focus on technology and AI. You will take ownership of the entire recruitment lifecycle, from global talent sourcing and candidate engagement to structured interviews and successful hiring outcomes. Leveraging AI-powered recruitment tools, innovative sourcing strategies, and international talent networks, you will help build a scalable, forward-thinking hiring function. This remote opportunity offers significant autonomy, direct collaboration with senior leaders, and the chance to influence recruitment strategy as the organization continues to grow. If you combine strong technical recruitment expertise with a proactive mindset and a passion for innovation, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Global Talent Sourcing: Identify, map, and engage high-quality candidates across international talent markets, including major technology hubs in the United States, Europe, and Latin America, with a focus on both active and passive candidates.
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process, from initial candidate discovery and outreach through screening, interviews, offer management, negotiation, and final hiring.
  • Technical Recruitment: Partner with business leaders and hiring managers to understand technical hiring needs, develop targeted sourcing strategies, and recruit qualified professionals across engineering and other technology-focused functions.
  • AI-Driven Recruitment Innovation: Help implement and optimize an AI-first recruitment approach by leveraging AI agents, advanced sourcing platforms, specialized technical communities, and unconventional talent acquisition channels.
  • Candidate Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with international talent, developing candidate pipelines that support both immediate hiring priorities and future workforce needs.
  • Interviewing and Candidate Assessment: Conduct structured interviews to evaluate technical aptitude, relevant experience, communication skills, and alignment with the organization's culture and expectations.
  • Recruitment Tools and Process Optimization: Experiment with new AI tools, applicant tracking systems, and sourcing methodologies to improve recruitment efficiency, candidate quality, and hiring outcomes.
  • Employer Branding: Contribute to employer branding initiatives, recruitment content, and talent engagement activities that strengthen the organization's reputation as an attractive destination for AI and technology professionals.
  • Strategic Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with executive leadership and business stakeholders to refine recruitment strategies, prioritize hiring needs, and help develop a scalable talent acquisition function.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor recruitment performance, identify opportunities to improve sourcing and selection processes, and adapt hiring practices to support the organization's continued growth.
Requirements:
  • Recruitment Experience: At least three years of professional recruitment experience, including a minimum of two years specializing in technology recruitment.
  • Startup or Scale-Up Experience: Previous experience in a startup or scale-up environment, with an understanding of the pace, flexibility, and evolving hiring needs associated with rapid growth.
  • International Sourcing Expertise: Demonstrated experience sourcing and attracting talent across global markets, particularly major technology hubs in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
  • Technical Recruitment Knowledge: Ability to understand technical roles, assess relevant candidate experience, and develop effective recruitment strategies for engineering and other technology-focused positions.
  • Recruitment Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing platforms, and other recruitment tools, with an interest in using AI to improve hiring workflows.
  • Fluent English: Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate confidently with international candidates, executives, and hiring managers.
  • Communication and Relationship-Building: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish trust, maintain long-term candidate relationships, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ownership and Execution: A goal-oriented, proactive mindset with the ability to balance hands-on recruitment delivery, strategic planning, and process improvement.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: Comfortable testing new approaches, working independently, managing changing priorities, and operating in a high-growth environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Openness to Feedback: A collaborative and humble attitude, with a willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a high-trust team culture.
  • Content Policy Alignment: Comfortable recruiting for products that use uncensored AI models and may include not-safe-for-work (NSFW) content.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience recruiting within the AI industry, familiarity with AI-powered products, and exposure to employer branding, compensation benchmarking, or broader talent acquisition initiatives.
Benefits:
  • Fully Remote Work: Work remotely from Canada or another eligible location, with flexibility in where you perform your work.
