Sagard is seeking a motivated Talent Acquisition & Operations Specialist for a 6-month contract in Montreal, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This role plays a key part in shaping our talent strategy by sourcing, attracting, and engaging top talent aligned with Sagard’s vision and values. A strong focus will be placed on elevating the onboarding experience to ensure new hires are set up for success from day one. The Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless recruitment process while also driving initiatives to streamline operations and strengthen Sagard’s employer brand through innovative talent programs.

Responsibilities

  • Streamline recruitment from interview to onboarding, enhancing the experience for both candidates and stakeholders.
  • Lead the operation and continuous improvement of the Sagard onboarding experience, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and consistent process for all new hires.
  • Support the integration of a recruitment platform (ATS) into Workday, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across systems.
  • Collaborate with people leaders and partners to develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with Sagard's values and culture.
  • Establish and sustain strategic alliances within key sourcing channels, including campus outreach programs and staffing vendors, to source qualified talent.
  • Work closely with the Communication and Marketing team to promote the employer brand and enhance the employee value proposition through innovative solutions.

Education and experience

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations, with at least 3–5 years of talent acquisition/recruitment experience or equivalent HR experience in a fast-growing environment.
  • Recruitment Expertise: Demonstrated experience in the full recruitment cycle and general knowledge of human resources, with a strong focus on the Canadian job market.
  • Language Skills and Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English (bilingualism required).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using social media platforms like LinkedIn and HRIS tools; experience with Workday and ATS platforms is a strong asset.
  • Personal Attributes: Enjoys collaborative teamwork, has a passion for talent acquisition, branding, and networking, with a long-term vision and a future-oriented perspective.
