Job description

Our Talent Acquisition team is responsible for high-volume hiring of Security Officers in a variety of sites and industries throughout the Metro Vancouver area. As our Advisor in this team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to meet targeted needs, building and maintaining partnerships, and creating pipelines of high-quality candidates externally and internally to ensure we have effective succession planning.

This role will be based in-person at our Burnaby office, with the opportunity to work from home once per week after successfully completing training. Class 5 BC Driver's License, clean Driver's Abstract, and a reliable personal vehicle are preferred, as frequent travel throughout the Lower Mainland will be required for hiring events, information sessions, and meetings with partner agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a working knowledge of position requirements and business needs by conducting intake meeting with hiring managers
  • Lead the development and execution of recruitment strategies and campaigns
  • Build effective and strategic recruitment initiatives to support attraction and retention of high-volume and niche top-talent
  • Source, establish, and maintain partnerships with agencies and educational institutions
  • Screen and interview high volumes of candidates to ensure healthy pipelines
  • Act as brand ambassador for Paladin at hiring fairs, information sessions, and other industry events
  • Collaborate effectively within the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide insights and recommendations on recruitment practices with an aim for continuous improvement and process effectiveness
  • Other duties as required to meet operational needs
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in full-cycle recruitment
  • Post-secondary education in human resources, business administration, or relevant field
  • Experience in the security industry would be considered a significant asset
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships across various audiences with diplomacy, tact, and confidentiality
  • Keen eye for detail and high standard of quality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive work ethic and ability to think outside the box
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
