Job summary

Trekor Metals Limited is seeking a Projects Engineer, Tailings to lead capital and sustaining projects at Gibraltar Mine’s Tailings Storage Facility and water management infrastructure. You will manage scope through EPC and closeout, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Based in Williams Lake, BC, the role demands strong project management, engineering judgment and regulatory compliance to deliver safe, cost-effective outcomes for the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
• P.Eng. registration with EGBC, or eligibility to register/transfer.
• Minimum five years of relevant engineering, construction or project management experience.
• Experience in mining, tailings, heavy civil construction, pipelines, water management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead TSF capital and sustaining projects including dam raises, pipelines, pumping systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, execution plans, procurement packages and risk assessments.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and review designs, drawings, specifications and technical deliverables for constructability and operational requirements.
• Manage engineering consultants, contractors and vendors to safely deliver projects within approved scope, budget and schedule.
• Coordinate field execution, construction progress, commissioning and project closeout documentation.
• Apply value engineering to improve constructability, project cost and lifecycle performance.
• Coordinate with the Engineer of Record, Tailings Team, Operations and site departments to support safe project execution.
• Monitor and report project cost, schedule, progress, risks and milestones.
• Support geotechnical investigations, survey programs, field testing and other activities to advance designs.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines BC and permits.
