Job summary

Trekor Metals Limited seeks a Tailings Project Foreman for the Mill Operations at the Gibraltar Mine in Mcleese Lake, BC. You will supervise and coordinate the safe, efficient operation of projects within the Tailings Storage Facility.

You will lead contractor crews, oversee construction, and ensure safe practices, reporting to the General Foreman. A high school diploma and 5 years of supervisory experience are required, with familiarity in milling equipment and DCS systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in construction project management.
• Tailings storage experience is an asset.
• Familiarity with milling equipment and control systems.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the safe and efficient operation of projects within the Tailings Storage Facility.
• Manage contractor crews in the tailings facility, environmental ponds, and water systems.
• Oversee multiple ongoing construction projects.
• Recommend changes and modifications to company policies, personnel and equipment.
• Motivate crews in proper operating practices, good housekeeping, fostering a solid team atmosphere while maintaining a safe, disciplined work environment.
• Correct operating problems and notify senior management of any prolonged production variance.
• Request services from other departments and contractors as required.
• Approve timecards, carry-out planned job evaluations and area audit inspections, conducting safety meetings.

Role Overview

Supervise, coordinate and control the safe and efficient operation of the Projects within the Tailings Storage Facility.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies

• 5 years previous supervisory experience.
• Experience in construction project management.
• Tailings storage experience through operations and/or maintenance would be an asset.
• Milling equipment and knowledge and capabilities.
• Familiarity with a Distributed Control System (DCS) and Expert System would be a definite asset.
• Computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
