  • Shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off - 12 hr shifts

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and communicate detailed tailings plans and schedules in support of the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of Albian Oil Sands
  • Monitor stewardship to mine and tailings plans and to Canadian Natural’s regulatory requirements within those plans
  • Collaborate with the Tailings Operations, Geotechnical, Bitumen Production and Mine Planning teams to ensure plan optimization
  • Responsible for maintenance, operation and upkeep of the tailings model and reports
  • Maintain orderly data, perform consistent accurate calculations and use mine and tailings planning software to complete assigned tasks
  • Project identification, scope development, and support included in the mid and short range tailings plans

What You Bring To The Role

  • Degree in Mine, Geological or Civil engineering
  • Registered with APEGA, or eligible to register
  • Previous experience in Oilsands Mining preferred
  • Experience with tailings planning software; Maptek Vulcan, and Minebridge Muk3D, preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
