We are currently seeking a skilled and tactical Security Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing a high level of visible security service across various respite shelter homes in Toronto, Ontario. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily logs, incident reports, and equipment records
• Provide security coverage across respite shelter locations through monitoring, patrolling, and system oversight
• Respond to routine, emergency, and security-related incidents
• Identify and report security breaches, safety hazards, and suspicious activities
• Provide customer service, assist visitors, and support site operations
• Escort emergency personnel (police, fire, ambulance) when required
• Respond to alarms, support evacuations, and perform emergency procedures
• Conduct access control, screening, and trespass management in accordance with legal guidelines
• Complete incident reporting and follow-up investigations
• Perform site inspections, lock-up/opening procedures, and safety checks
• Work collaboratively with site partners to maintain a safe environment

Requirements/ Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma (Grade 12)
• Minimum 2 years of security experience (tactical experience preferred)
• OR 1 year experience with a relevant Canadian diploma/degree (Police Foundations, Law Enforcement, Investigations, Community Justice, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, and use of force/arrest procedures
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts)
