is currently seeking a Full-Time Mall Security Manager at one of our retail mall sites located in Welland, ON area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain up-to-date training, while providing motivation and mentoring to contracted site security team, ensuring all staff meet company standards such as:

• Providing outstanding and personalized customer service as a front-line representative of Regal Security
• Maintaining uniform standards and professional deportment
• Enforcing property rules and regulations to maintain security and safety
• Operating and maintaining an organized environment
• Logging site equipment usage for internal and external users
• Monitoring CCTV and Access Control systems
• Responding to emergency situations (medical, etc.)
• Ensuring safety and emergency protocols are followed during fire alarms and site emergencies
• Conducting walking patrols and inspections
• Reviewing and following post orders for the site
• Maintaining a safe working environment following health and safety procedures
• Enforcing the Trespass to Property Act
• Safely operating company and client equipment
• Responding to major incidents and assisting security staff in managing situations

Additional Responsibilities:

• Developing positive relationships with tenants, customers, emergency services, and agencies
• Supporting shift guards and escalating issues appropriately
• Updating policies, manuals, and site plans
• Operating Regal patrol vehicle for patrols and maintenance
• Meeting with client representatives regularly
• Reporting activities to Regal Account Services Manager
• Coordinating with Regal Head Office on staffing and equipment issues
• Ensuring proper training and performance evaluations of staff
• Reviewing incident reports for accuracy and compliance
• Documenting arrests and use of force properly
• Maintaining patrol vehicle checks and issuing parking warnings
• Providing regular security activity reports
• Performing security duties as needed

The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate:

• Full-time availability with flexibility for shifts including afternoons, overnights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to respond to urgent issues remotely and in person
• Experience in customer service and security, including use of force training
• Leadership experience managing a team of 8-10 members in a 24/7 environment
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (Trespass to Property Act, Criminal Code, etc.)
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
• Discretion and privacy awareness

Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• G Class Driver’s license with clean record
• WHMIS Certification
• Secondary School Diploma or higher; preference for Criminal Justice or Business post-secondary education
• Proficiency with computer programs (Microsoft Office, Gmail)
