Job summary

GardaWorld in Canada is seeking a Tactical Security Guard based in St. Catharines, Ontario. You will patrol various environments such as retail stores, airports and security facilities, reading situations quickly and acting to deter risk.

The schedule includes a 4-on/4-off continental rotation with 0600–1800 or 1800–0600 shifts. GardaWorld provides an academy training path, uniforms, and both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• Full G Ontario driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
• 1 year of security industry and/or equivalent education background police foundation or security related preferred.
• First aid certification required.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol critical areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Check identification and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document actions taken.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Handle alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.
