  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing clinical protocols, educational initiatives, and quality improvement projects.
  • Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards and fostering a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing ACS Level III Trauma Center protocols and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical (~85% or 12 TACS shifts/4 weeks)

  • Lead and provide direct patient care in trauma and acute care surgery, with an emphasis on emergency general surgery.
  • Perform major surgeries, including emergency general surgery cases, trauma resuscitations, and surgeries in line with ACS Level III Trauma Center standards.
  • Provide trauma and emergency general surgery consultation and management for inpatient and emergency department patients.
  • Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, APPs, and nursing staff to deliver exceptional care.
  • Participate in trauma rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and case reviews to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain proficiency in trauma management, as outlined in ACS guidelines, and perform trauma surgeries when needed.

Administrative (~15% or 6 admin hours per week, separate from clinical role)
