This is your chance to play a pivotal role by transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. As a Tableau Developer on our team, you will be at the forefront of innovation, wielding the power of data visualization to unlock unprecedented insights and drive strategic decision-making.

This role has a large degree of interaction with internal and external stakeholders. You need to be comfortable working through problems and identifying solutions with the aim to automate where applicable, while working collaboratively with your teammates. You’ll be providing Reporting Solutions within RBC’s infrastructure and global operations.You’ll be continually developing new skills and intelligence strategies to ensure RBC’s vulnerability and compliance capabilities remain relevant and prepared for the changing threat landscape and emerging threat factors.

What will you do?

In this role, you will:

  • Design and Develop: Create state-of-the-art Tableau dashboards and reports that not only meet the business needs of our clients but also address complex cybersecurity challenges.

  • Collaborate and Innovate: Work alongside cybersecurity experts to translate intricate data into compelling visual stories that drive strategic decisions and actions.

  • Documentation Excellence: Produce comprehensive documentation for your dashboards, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and maintainability.

  • Impactful Presentations: Conduct presentations to various stakeholders, demonstrating the power of data visualization in understanding and combatting cybersecurity threats.

  • Stay Ahead: Keep ahead of the latest developments in both Tableau technology and cybersecurity trends to continually enhance our analytical capabilities.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven Expertise: 2+ years of hand-on experience in developing comprehensive BI reporting packages, with a demonstrated ability to navigate and innovate within the Tableau ecosystem.

  • SQL Mastery: 3+ years of SQL development experience, crafting complex queries and optimizing database interactions.

  • Tableau Proficiency: 2+ years of dedicated experience with Tableau Desktop and Server, showcasing a portfolio of impactful visualizations.

  • Analytical Acumen: Adept at designing scorecards, KPIs, and leveraging data to drive business insights.

  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Innovation and Problem-Solving: A track record of innovative solutions and robust problem-solving skills, thriving in complex and ambiguous environments.

Nice-to-have

  • University degree in a quantitative field of study (e.g. engineering, mathematics, statistics…)

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and Java.

  • Experience with big data technologies, primarily in machine learning and statistics function.

  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence and working in an agile environment.

  • CISSP certification, highlighting a deep commitment to the field of information security.
