The City of Markham is seeking a Table Tennis Instructor for the Aaniin Community Centre. This temporary part-time role involves preparing, organizing, and delivering table tennis programs for all ages, ensuring a safe, engaging environment, and maintaining attendance records.

You will write lesson plans, adapt activities to group abilities, and coordinate with the Recreation Supervisor to ensure smooth sessions.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in table tennis.
• Current Standard First Aid or Intermediate First Aid with CPR C and AED.
• High Five Certificate and adherence to Healthy Child Development.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Good verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
• Minimum age 16 and completion of high school; post-secondary preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitates, leads, and supervises the program.
• Writes weekly lesson plans and adapts to ability of each group.
• Reviews plans with the supervisor and submits them at session end.
• Prepares equipment, inventories supplies, and reports needs.
• Keeps attendance and updates the coordinator on absences.
• Enforces safety regulations and maintains a safe environment.
• Communicates events or cancellations to participants.
