The City of Markham is seeking a Table Tennis Instructor for the Aaniin Community Centre in Markham, ON. This temporary part-time role involves preparing, organizing and delivering table tennis programs for all ages, while ensuring a positive and safe environment for participants and peers.

Responsibilities include creating weekly lesson plans, supervising sessions, maintaining equipment, tracking attendance, and coordinating with the Recreation Supervisor.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the discipline of table tennis; instructional experience with children, youth, adults and seniors is an asset.
• Current certifications in Standard First Aid OR Intermediate First Aid with CPR C and AED.
• High Five Certificate and adherence to the principles of Healthy Child Development.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Good verbal/written communication skills and customer service abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitates, leads, and supervises the program.
• Organizes and writes lesson plans tailored to groups.
• Reviews lesson plans with the Recreation Supervisor/Program Co-coordinator.
• Prepares and organizes program equipment and maintains inventory.
• Keeps attendance records and coordinates with the Program Coordinator/Recreation Supervisor.
• Ensures safety at ALL times and enforces safety regulations.
• Ensures site/equipment are appropriate and safe for participants.
• Communicates upcoming events, program changes or cancellations.
