School District 71 is seeking a temporary 0.50 FTE teacher for Grades 2-5 at Mt. Nelson Academy. The role involves providing face-to-face instruction and creating engaging online resources for students in a blended learning environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in project-based learning and a commitment to collaboration and inclusivity.

The Heartwood Learning Communities (HLC) are blended learning programs for students from Kindergarten to Grade 9. HLC teachers support students in multi-grade classes with diverse needs and abilities. Each HLC is unique in its face-to-face offering, with students attending up to 2.5 days per week. During home learning days, educators support families across multiple platforms, spend time planning, and collaborate with colleagues and the broader HLC community.

Salary range is in accordance with the BC Teachers Federation, available via the provided link.
