School District 71 - Blended Learning Teacher (Grades 10-12 Humanities and Electives)

School District 71 is an inclusive learning community that embraces diversity, fosters relationships, and empowers all learners to have a positive impact on the world. Our mission is to work with our educational partners to inspire engaged, compassionate, resilient lifelong learners and cultivate a collaborative community.

We invite applications for a temporary 1.0 FTE Blended Learning Teacher position located at North Shore Academy in North Vancouver. The successful candidate must be able to provide face-to-face instruction at this location. Please note that this temporary position is subject to enrollment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Navigate and guide successful learning by providing personalized online courses using diverse instructional technology.
  • Work both online and face-to-face with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Research, develop, and maintain advanced online curricula to support blended learning in classrooms, learning centers, and tutorials.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to create and manage online courses, assignments, assessments, and resources based on current pedagogical frameworks (e.g., inquiry, place-based, personalized).
  • Support students online and in person, including course adaptations and I.E.P.s.
  • Proficiency with online tools such as Brightspace (D2L), Zoom, and MyEd.
  • Experience in online learning technology support, course design/development, and e-portfolios.
  • Collaborative mindset and experience working with a team to advance curriculum integration and personalized learning.
  • Experience with Student Learning Plans and parent co-facilitation.

Compensation
