Job description

  1. 1.0 FTE Blended Learning Teacher: Grades 10-12 Math, Science & Electives
  2. Located in North Vancouver at North Shore Academy - must be able to provide face-to-face instruction at the location.
  3. Please note that this temporary position is subject to enrollment.

Navigate teachers guide successful learning by providing personalized, online learning courses using diverse instructional technology. Navigate teachers commit to working online and face-to-face with students, colleagues, and parents. Teachers actively research, develop, and maintain advanced online curriculum and support blended learning in classrooms, learning centers, and tutorials.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Ability to create and manage online courses, assignments, assessments, and resources incorporating current pedagogical frameworks (e.g., inquiry, place-based, personalized).
  • Ability to work with and support students online and in person.
  • Ability to support students with course adaptations and I.E.P.s.
  • Proficiency with online tools: Brightspace (D2L), Zoom, MyEd.
  • Experience with online learning technology support, course design/development in Brightspace (D2L), and e-portfolios.
  • Experience and commitment to collaborative work within a teacher team, advancing curriculum integration and personalized learning.
  • Experience with Student Learning Plans and parent co-facilitation.
