Qualifications and Abilities
  1. Extensive academic training and qualifications in teaching K-5.
  2. Knowledge of Ministry of Education's philosophy, practices, and assessment procedures.
  3. Experience teaching K-5, with coursework or a degree in Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, or Physical Education as an asset.
  4. Strong commitment to teaching excellence and experience in Physical Education components like Dance, Gymnastics, and Outdoor Pursuits.
  5. Ability to design formative and summative assessments in Physical Education.
  6. Excellent classroom management and ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
  7. Experience developing equitable learning opportunities for diverse student needs.
  8. Experience integrating First People Principles of Learning.
  9. Organizational and communication skills for managing schedules.
  10. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and promote healthy lifestyles.
  11. Current First-Aid and CPR certification.
