About the Client

This permanent opportunity is with a respected, long-establishedprimary care cliniclocated in the heart of Toronto. Position Details

  • Position:Medical Office Assistant (MOA) / Medical Receptionist
  • Location:Roncesvalles /West Toronto area,
  • Schedule:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM plus 1 Saturday a month
  • Employment Type:Full-time, Permanent
  • Start Date:Immediate

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Services:Greet and assist patients warmly, creating a friendly and respectful atmosphere.
  • Appointment Coordination:Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using OSCAR EMR.
  • Front Desk Management:Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Medical Records:Accurately update and maintain patient information in the EMR system; familiarity with Apple devices is an asset.
  • Administrative Duties:Perform filing, data entry, and process third-party requests (insurance, legal offices).
  • Billing Support:Assist with third-party billing and invoice preparation according to clinic policies.
  • Inventory Management:Monitor and replenish medical and office supplies; manage vaccine inventory following Public Health protocols.
  • Team Collaboration:Support physicians and healthcare staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in amedical office,family practice, orprimary care clinicsetting.
  • Proficiency withOSCAR EMR; experience withApple computers preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices is an asset.
