Job description

Role: Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior

Location: Guelph, Ontario (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension

Responsibilities: Provides advice on testing strategy, test plans, testing tools, and resource identification. Organizes testing efforts for large systems in GUI and non-GUI environments, including system integration, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests). Develops test plans, scripts, and cases, executing them across various components. Collaborates with testing and IT leads, project teams during analysis, design, development, implementation, and support phases.

Evaluation Criteria:

Manual Testing Skills/Experience - 45 points (weighted score)

• 8+ years of QA analysis experience
• Experience developing test cases, scripts, data requirements, and scenarios for manual testing
• Experience conducting iterative testing in Salesforce
• Experience developing testing strategies and plans

Experience with:

• Integration, unit, regression, functional, accessibility, non-functional, vulnerability testing
• Developing test plans, scripts, data, documenting defects, tracking resolutions
• User Acceptance testing and leading initial UAT sessions
• Hands-on Salesforce UI and backend testing

Soft Skills - 20 points (weighted score)

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Reporting progress, proactively raising risks/issues, managing change requests
• Experience working with clients and technical teams for defect resolution

Agile Experience - 20 points (weighted score)

• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
• Experience with sprint management, bug tracking, testing lifecycle in Azure DevOps
• Understanding of SDLC and QA processes in agile environments

Testing - 10 points (weighted score)

• Experience with AODA and vulnerability testing using tools like JAWS, NVDA
• Experience conducting functional and UAT testing in Salesforce

Public Sector Experience - 5 points (weighted score)

• Experience working in government or public sector organizations

Must Have

• 1-2 years of Salesforce Public Sector Foundation testing
• Experience with Salesforce, DevOps, Microsoft tools (Visio, Project), Miro boards
• Knowledge of Ontario Digital Service Standards, Service Design Playbook, Digital First approach
• Understanding of digital product development and management
• Experience developing test scripts and user stories
• Experience testing prototypes and usability testing
• Experience conducting iterative analysis and testing
• Knowledge of user-centered design
• Experience with UAT, AODA, vulnerability testing
• Ability to lead and coordinate testing teams
