We are looking for a Systems Testing / QA Specialist to join our team.

Description
This position is hybrid and based in downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Provides advice on testing strategies, test plans, testing tools, and resource identification.
- Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems, including GUI and non-GUI environments, executing system integration, specialized, and user acceptance tests.
- Develops test plans, scripts, and cases; collaborates with project teams during analysis, design, development, and support phases.
Requirements:
- Experience working with teams, BAs, and stakeholders to understand user stories.
- Creates and executes test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Knowledge of test management solutions, web technologies, data-mining/reporting tools, SDLC methodologies, ITIL processes, relational databases, and SQL.
- Understanding of AODA and relevant standards.
- Experience testing COTS applications like Case Management, Curam, Sibel, Oracle eBS.
- Experience with Azure DevOps in testing activities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience testing Child Welfare applications.
Additional Skills:
- Planning, organizing, and implementing testing efforts.
- Knowledge of structured development methodologies, CASE tools, automated testing tools, version control.
- Executing various tests, analyzing defects, troubleshooting, reporting defects, and supporting UAT.
- Understanding of SDLC, quality assurance principles, and testing documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with deadline management skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of programming languages and information retrieval packages.
- Understanding testing in object-oriented environments and accessibility standards.
- Experience in test automation scripting and testing COTS and Child Welfare applications.
- Experience leading QA teams and automating test cases.
Technical Skills (70%):
- Developing test strategies, executing test cases, knowledge of web technologies, SDLC, ITIL, databases, AODA, COTS testing, Azure DevOps, defect analysis, and UAT support.
Communication & Project Management (15%):
- Project management, documentation, stakeholder interaction, and knowledge transfer.
Agile Experience (15%):
- Working with Agile teams, using Azure DevOps, prioritizing testing, and clarifying user stories.
