Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems Canada invites students to join our Sonar Systems team for a 4–8 month co-op in Winter 2027. You will help with requirements analysis, software test design, and testing on Sonar and Sonobuoy Processing Systems in a safety-conscious defence environment.

You must be enrolled in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution and provide proof of enrolment. The role offers hands-on testing experience, mentorship from senior engineers, and a pathway to future co-op

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a student in a recognized university program in a relevant engineering/science field.
• Positive approach to learning and trying new things.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems and software test activities and verify design requirements.
• Develop and execute test cases under guidance of a Test Lead.
• Assist in analyzing requirements for Acoustic Processing System.
• Assist in developing technical documentation.
• Operate and maintain test simulators and equipment.
