Job Description:

Parsons is hiring a Systems Integration Manager to lead a team overseeing Systems Engineering activities for the Broadway Subway Extension to the Millennium Line in Vancouver, Canada. This role involves managing complex Rail Systems construction projects that significantly impact the local community.

In this position, you will provide management and technical guidance to ensure the successful delivery of a fully integrated rail extension project. Your experience in engineering and management will advance your career with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage staffing levels, including temporary personnel, and approve staffing forecasts.
  • Oversee the Systems Engineering processes across relevant disciplines.
  • Coordinate with System Safety and RAM teams and processes.
  • Supervise, guide, and mentor the Systems Engineering team.
  • Monitor quality and progress of engineering activities, ensuring compliance with performance and process requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Engineering Managers in safety, design, civil, and other disciplines to resolve staffing, quality, schedule, and performance issues.
  • Support pre-contract and business development efforts as a technical consultant.
  • Ensure performance within the allocated budget for Systems Engineering.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including supervisory/managerial roles in complex systems with software components.
  • Professional Engineer registration or eligibility to obtain in British Columbia.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and attention to detail skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry standards, including ISO/IEC/IEEE-15288 and EN-50126.
  • INCOSE CSEP certification is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of current technology and engineering software tools for requirements and configuration management.
