We are seeking a Systems Engineer II to join our Engineering team in Beauport, QC.

In this role, you will independently execute system-level engineering activities for new products and enhancements to existing solutions. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate customer and stakeholder needs into robust technical requirements, guide integration and verification activities, and help ensure successful project execution. As a key technical contributor, you will apply systems thinking to complex challenges, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and help drive technical decisions throughout the product development lifecycle.

Please note that this is a Full-Time/Permanent and hybrid position.

What You Will Do As a Systems Engineer II
  • Execute system-level engineering activities throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring alignment across engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain key technical documentation, including Design History Files (DHF), configuration documentation, and other system engineering deliverables.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and translate customer, clinical, quality, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability needs into clear, traceable, and testable system requirements.
  • Contribute to system architecture development, technical approaches, feasibility assessments, interface definitions, and requirements allocation across subsystems.
  • Plan and execute system-level verification and validation activities, defining test strategies, acceptance criteria, and evidence required to demonstrate compliance with program objectives.
  • Support new product development initiatives and participate as a key technical contributor on cross-functional project teams.
  • Conduct technical analyses, troubleshoot complex issues, and develop innovative solutions that improve product performance and customer experience.
  • Execute cross-disciplinary feasibility studies and technical trade-off evaluations to support informed engineering decisions.
  • Assess and communicate system-level risks throughout project phases, partnering with teams to develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Work independently on complex assignments while collaborating effectively with technical leaders, project teams, and business stakeholders.
Required
Experience, Abilities and Competencies required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across technical teams.
  • Experience defining requirements, evaluating technical solutions, and supporting the realization of product functionality.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical, quality, and business considerations.
Preferred
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ);
  • Training or certification in Six Sigma;
  • Experience supporting complex system integration activities;
  • Experience using model-based approaches to define system behavior, interfaces, and requirements while facilitating collaboration across engineering disciplines;
  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, healthcare, or industrial manufacturing.
