Job summary

Wellington-Altus Private Wealth in Winnipeg is seeking an Analyst, Business Systems Enablement to support data entry across multiple systems and improve workflows. You will help ensure data integrity and partner with stakeholders to test features and implement updates.

Ideal candidates have a finance/business/IT degree and 2–3 years in financial services, with strong Excel and MS Office skills and a knack for analysis and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 2-3 years’ financial services industry experience working in a high growth environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in vendor and custodian management.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a customer/client-service facing role.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in wealth management or other regulated industry is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with expertise in handling large data sets and performing complex comparisons for analysis and insight.
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day to day work and long-term goals.

Responsibilities

  • Client Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely entry of client-related data across multiple business systems.
  • Maintain data integrity through validation, reconciliation, and quality control processes.
  • Monitor and resolve data discrepancies affecting client-facing platforms and internal operations.
  • System Enablement & Optimization: Support development and implementation of internal system enablement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system gaps and recommend enhancements.
  • Participate in system testing, configuration, and rollout of new features or updates.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
  • Design and implement streamlined processes to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
  • Contribute to automation tool development with technical teams.
  • Risk Mitigation: Ensure adherence to data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and elevate risks related to data accuracy, system integrity, or process failures.
  • Participate in audits and remediation efforts as needed.
  • Service Standards: Ensure all requests and tasks align with defined service standards for a consistent client experience.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the Lead Analyst, Business Systems Reporting, the Analyst, Business Systems Enablement supports the development and implementation of system processes, policies, and procedures. The role focuses on improving efficiency by streamlining workflows, reducing manual tasks, and ensuring accurate client data entry across multiple business systems. This data directly impacts both client-facing and internal platforms. The Analyst also ensures requests are completed in alignment with service standards, while contributing to quality control, automation initiatives, and departmental projects that enhance overall system performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client Data Management
    • Ensure accurate and timely entry of client-related data across multiple business systems.
    • Maintain data integrity through rigorous validation, reconciliation, and quality control processes.
    • Monitor and resolve data discrepancies that affect client-facing platforms and internal operation.
  • System Enablement & Optimization
    • Support the development and implementation of internal system enablement policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system gaps and recommend enhancements.
