Job summary

Dynacare, Brampton, ON, seeks a System Validation Analyst to validate information systems and LIS within a hybrid, full-time role. 37.5 hours weekly, 12-month contract, replacement position, with a 9-5 schedule, Monday to Friday.

The role partners with QA and project teams to develop test plans, scripts, and validation activities for analytical instruments, middleware, and interfaces, ensuring compliant validation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Science/Health studies or IT/health informatics experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in system validation or quality assurance.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in information system validation of new assays, products, services, and equipment (AS400, Omnitech, middleware, LIS).
• Act as liaison between stakeholders for user and QA validation of processes/software.
• Establish Information Systems Test Plans and Scripts for end-to-end validation.
• Execute test scripts across departments and systems.
• Document test scripts per change control SOPs.
• Maintain a central knowledge base of Dynacare systems.
• Train and support staff performing validations.
• Participate in reviews to improve validation processes.
• Review systems annually to monitor performance.

We’re looking for aSystem Validation Analystto join our Clinical Development and Quality Assurance team! This role is a full-time position working 37.5/week.The InformationSystems Validation Analystis responsible for the development and execution of Test Plans and Scripts to test end-to-end systems including analytical instruments, middleware, interfaces, and the laboratory information systems (LIS).

How YOU will make a difference:

• Lead or assist in the information system validation of new assay methodologies, new products and services and new equipment utilized in the laboratory operations, specifically changes involving AS400, Omnitech V6 and V12, middleware (Instrument Manager, Myla, etc.), Lab Director, MedLab and result outputs (Dynacare Plus, EMR, eResults, OLIS, etc.)
• Serve as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure adequate user and QA validation of process/software occurs
• Work with managers and project teams to establish Information Systems Test Plans and Scripts to test end-to-end systems encompassing analytical instruments, middleware, interfaces, and the laboratory information systems (LIS)
• Execute Test scripts for various departments, projects, and systems
• Document test scripts according to change control SOPs
• Maintain a central knowledge base of Dynacare systems
• Train and support staff across the organization who are performing validations
• Actively participate in project reviews to identify opportunities to improve integration and validation processes
• Review systems annually to monitor performance

What YOU bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Health Studies or equivalent or experience working in information technology or health informatics
• A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in system validation or quality assurance
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of laboratory operations, processes and continuous improvement methodologies
• Capability of understanding the scientific and technical functions of the Operational departments
• Highly proficient with IT systems such as the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to access and analyze key data and create various reports

Pay rate: $51,200 - $64,000 per annum. The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
