Responsibilities

  • Assist in development, documentation and implementation of QA procedures and programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Review and analyze quality documents to ensure compliance and improve procedures.
  • Participate in accreditation and inspection processes as required.
  • Prepare summary statistics reports for leadership using MS Office.
  • Evaluate CAPA responses and follow up for closure and efficacy.
  • Mentor and coach staff in Quality programs and procedures.
  • Support roll-out of Quality initiatives with cross-functional teams.
  • Create presentations as needed.
  • Support internal client questions with guidance and assistance.
  • Occasionally perform QA audits and document non-conformances.

Dynacare is currently searching for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our Clinical Development and Quality Assurance team in Brampton, ON. The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for supporting Quality Management System processes including the analysis and trending of data, staff communications and mentoring, vendor and reference laboratory quality, consultant credentialing, and maintaining some licensing processes. The successful candidate is detail oriented, exhibits an optimistic, proactive mindset, demonstrates robust analytical abilities, and brings with them the technical background of a working MLT or person with laboratory experience, functional knowledge of Medical Laboratory regulatory requirements, proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of products and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

How YOU will make a difference:
  • Assists in the development, documentation and implementation of Quality Assurance procedures and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, various standards and Dynacare policies.
  • Performs ongoing reviews and analyses of various documented procedures and programs in Dynacare Quality manuals to ensure compliance with various regulatory bodies’ requirements and improve/update existing procedures and programs specific to regulatory compliance, thereby ensuring excellence.
  • Participates in accreditation and inspection processes from regulatory bodies as required.
  • Prepares summary statistics reports for presentation to the Senior Manager, Regional Quality or Clinical & Regulatory Quality Compliance Manager utilizing MS Office suite of products as appropriate.
  • Evaluates responses to Complaint and CAPA non-conformances and performs follow-up with respondents as required to ensure resolution and efficacy, reporting any unresolved issues to the Senior Manager, Regional Quality or Clinical & Regulatory Quality Compliance Manager.
  • Engages, coaches and mentors Dynacare staff in various Quality programs and procedures.
  • Ensures roll-out of Quality initiatives as directed and works with cross-functional teams to initiate and deliver new or updated Quality Management System programs.
  • Creates powerful and persuasive presentations as assigned.
  • Encourages trust and open communications through addressing internal client concerns and inquiries. Ensures proactive internal client support and guidance is provided, including professional and personal assistance when answering inquiries.
  • Occasionally performs Quality Assurance audits, prepares reports, and enters non-conformances into the electronic Quality Management System as required. May also perform external quality audits of vendors and other providers.
  • Completes special projects and extra duties as assigned.
What YOU bring to the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field
  • Understanding of laboratory operations, as demonstrated through medical laboratory technical department related experience.
  • Embraces Quality Assurance principles.
  • Understands and promotes principles of the quality management system
  • Manages and prioritizes work using time management skills and techniques
  • Applies great attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving, data analysis/trending, and issues-resolution abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency of MS Office suite of products
  • Verbal or written French language skills are an asset
Working conditions:
  • Normal office/medical laboratory environment
  • Occasional travel may be necessary
Pay rate: $51,200 to $64,000.

The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
