Job summary

Ericsson in Ottawa is seeking a System Test Analyst to drive end-to-end system tests for RAN technologies (5G & 6G) and to develop Cloud Native and AI skills while delivering innovative solutions. You will work in a collaborative, hybrid environment within the SPS organization.

The ideal candidate has a engineering background with strong analytical skills, proficiency in Python, and experience with Git/Gerrit, Jenkins, and Linux scripting, plus a customer-centric mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Excellent analytical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Python; exposure to LLM interactions using Agentic AI; data analysis and automation experience.
• Experience with Git/Gerrit, Jenkins, and Linux shell scripting.
• Logical and critical thinking; strong communication skills.
• Self-motivation and a can-do attitude; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); customer-centric mindset.
• Knowledge of RAN, NR & LTE is a plus; SDLC awareness.

The role of System Test Analyst is located in Ottawa. Ericsson promotes and supports a hybrid workplace environment. This is a full-time, and permanent based position within the Systems, Product & Security (SPS) organization. Your main focus will be testing, troubleshooting, and delivering Ericsson RAN Access Network (RAN) products to our global Customers. You will also be expected to develop your Cloud Native and AI skills to a strong level, while developing innovative solutions that move Ericsson further, along the Digitalization pathway.

Teamwork is an integral part of this role, and the candidate should have extremely good communication skills, and be energized working in a strong, team environment.

What You Will Do

• Drive end-to-end system level tests in RAN technologies (5G & 6G). Is the product suitable to release to the Customer?
• Perform requirement analysis for feature integration and verification. Does the requirement meet what the Customer expects?
• Perform system level troubleshooting procedures. Is my issue related to product or environment?
• Deliver software assessments based on a data-driven and analytical approach. Which parts of the data are critical to my decision?
• Participate in customer validation tests. How well did our tests address the system requirements?
• Assist in transforming our internal test daily workflows and processes, deploying and using Agentic AI or GenAI solutions, coupled with RAN System Verification knowledge. Am I using AI to deliver value to Ericsson?
• Develop competence in the technical domain. Am I continually upskilling myself?

You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a related Computer Science or Engineering discipline. A master’s degree is an asset
• Excellent analytical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Technical skills, including proficiency in Python, with some exposure to LLM interactions using Agentic AI; data analysis and automation experience
• Experience with Git/Gerrit, Jenkins, and Linux shell scripting

Your Pay

The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

• Salary range for this position is:
• Bachelors Degree: $81,500
• Masters Degree: $90,500

Hiring Bonus:

• Bachelors Degree: $8500
• Masters Degree: $11,500

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Ericsson’s Group Retirement & Savings Program offers an automatic 2% company contribution into the Pension Plan. Ericsson also offers a 50% match of employee’s contribution into the Registered Retirement Savings Plan, up to 8% of the employee’s contribution (maximum of 4% match). This leads to a total company contribution potential of 6%. Employees will also basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage at two-times annual base pay at no cost, as well as short-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, at least 3personal days, minimum 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
