Location/Region: This position is located in the Toronto area and will cover the Province of Ontario.

What’s the role?

As a Systems Specialist Level IV, you will work with an outstanding team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Limited - IQS. Showcase your skills and experience in process enhancement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain all Level III duties and responsibilities.
  • Resolve the most challenging technical service issues and difficult customer situations.
  • Service common machine accessories (e.g., tool racks, sensors, tooling, fixtures, RT-Calibration).
  • Understand Laser Map corrective services.
  • Support other less common accessories/services (e.g., RT-PM adjustment, VI-Scan, SP25).
  • Instruct customer and/or service technician training courses (formal and/or field).
  • Initiate customer courtesy calls to follow up on recently performed service.
  • Lead the installation, configuration, and calibration of CMM equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting for electromechanical issues in CMM systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve measurement processes and system integration.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards; stay current with CMM technology and software updates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of experience as a Senior Service Technician with CMM systems installation, repairs, calibration, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Proven aptitude to meet System Specialist requirements during senior technician role.
  • Post-secondary education in Electronics or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 80-100% travel required, including occasional international travel.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.

The annual salary range is $54,000 - $68,000 plus bonus, with potential for a performance bonus. ZEISS offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, vision, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off.
