Team Shabodi is enabling the ecosystem of next-gen applications and looking for an experienced System Engineer with hands-on knowledge of advanced networks including 5G to join our rapidly growing team!

You are ideally…

• 7+ years’ experience in Telecom domain in a wide range of roles – System Engineering, Deployment, Configuration, Testing and evaluation of vendor products.
• 3+ years hands-on experience of working on Linux, Unix platforms with expert level proficiency in scripting.
• Experience in deployment and configuration of multiple 4G and 5G systems. Preferred to have worked with more than 4G / 5G Core, RAN partner having good understanding of difference in vendor capabilities.
• Recent experience in RAN & O-RAN system integration, testing, and troubleshooting (system logs, OS logs, UE logs, network logs, etc.).
• Strong end-to-end RAN knowledge with a focus on 4/5G RAN technologies (vRAN, Small Cells, MIMO, Timing and Sync with GPS, PTP).
• Understanding of networking protocols such as IP, TCP, SCTP, IPSEC and familiarity with 3GPP standards, including procedures, call flows, KPIs, and statistics.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 & 3 messages, RRC/RLC layers.
• Experience in diagnosing RF issues such as dropped calls, blocked calls, handover failures, interference, and RACH failures.
• Experience analyzing core network element issues.
• Very good knowledge in the testing of the RAN systems (BSC/BTS, RNC/gNodeB, eNodeB, and associated OSS systems, and an overall general knowledge of IT & Networks).
• Able to describe the key elements of a mobile network and understand how the components function and interact.
• Technical understanding of the connectivity between RAN and CN systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills- both verbal and written.
• Hands-on experience with RF/ RAN test equipment including Wireshark, xCAL, HPALM, iPERF, Ping and proprietary load generation/testing toolset.
• Seven (7) or more years of cumulative technological experience communications and current network technology, Cisco CCNA or equivalent technical certifications preferred.

What you’ll do …

• Work with the Product and Sales team to understand customer requirements and ensure lab is upgraded as per upcoming customer requirements.
• Work with a partnership management team to acquire products for lab after evaluation as per customer requirements. Perform theoretical and technical evaluation of competing products and recommend best suited as per customer/project requirements.
• Responsible for deploying and configuring partner products in 4G / 5G space including Core, RAN in the lab and maintain them.
• Responsible for configuration of devices from multiple vendors and evaluating as per customer requirements.
• As a RAN testing professional, analyzing the testing requirements, performing requirements review, preparing test scenarios/test cases, running test cases, reporting & following up on defects.
• Responsible for the integration plan, test specifications and scripts, test execution, defect management and the coordination of the environment design and deployment.
• Independent in analyzing the testing requirements review, preparing test scenarios/test cases, running test cases, reporting & following up on defects.
