Job summary

A leading aerospace firm in Canada is seeking a System Engineer to generate requirements and oversee system integration for avionics systems. The role involves participation in testing activities and requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Software or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Generate requirements, analyze, review and approve system design, oversee system integration, coordinate with various Integrated Product Teams/Suppliers, work with all departments for design, validation and verification, testing and certification, support to certification authorities.
• Assist in functional, integration, qualification, and ground/flight test of the system.
• Perform ground and/or flight test activities for Avionics systems on test rig.

Proven Ability / Key Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Software or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements engineering and integration in the field of avionics.
• Knowledge of the design of aircraft systems, in particular avionics systems and Flight Management Systems (FMS).
• Knowledge of a complete development cycle from preliminary design to entry into service.
• Knowledge of the specification, design, integration, testing and certification of avionic systems.
• Knowledge of the RTCA standards DO-160, DO-178/331 and DO-254.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity regulations (familiar with DO-326B, DO-256A, DO-255A).
