Key job responsibilities
  • Enhance the availability, resiliency, and security of our Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Collaborate with over 100 engineering teams across multiple locations.
  • Develop automation for infrastructure-related tasks, software upgrades, AWS region creation/migration, using Python, Java, and AWS Cloud technologies.
  • Build and develop tools to automate manual business and operational processes.
  • Continuously improve systems and pipelines powering FTR's products and features.
  • Build scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions meeting high standards for coding and operational excellence.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues.
  • Develop monitoring solutions and perform software maintenance and configuration.
  • Track and resolve technical challenges.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby.
  • Experience with distributed computing, programs, and systems.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or similar discipline, or comparable practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional software development or technical support experience.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
  • AWS or other cloud infrastructure maintenance experience.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes.
  • Passion for improving system availability and resiliency through operational excellence.
