Job description

Insight Global is seeking a systems engineer to join a top automation company on a contract or permanent basis. The role involves collaboration with the customer, project manager, design, assembly, and software teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements. You will have the opportunity to excel as a technical leader by:

  1. Understanding the customer's technology and becoming the subject matter expert in the equipment/system.
  2. Providing project technical clarity by defining system requirements and validating system capability.
  3. Leading the system from cradle to launch, guiding design teams, managing technical risks, and improving quality, cost, and delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, controls, or systems engineering support.
  • Experience in nuclear tooling and equipment development and testing, including field support.
  • Thorough understanding of machine design and build, machine controls, structured problem solving, statistical analysis, and precision engineering principles.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with high-level clients/stakeholders.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

  • A Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.
