Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced System Analyst to support the department initiatives including the successful implementation of Workday as the hospital’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, understanding, and documenting current processes, integrations, and workflows; collaborating with and acting as a liaison between all stakeholders to ensure successful system implementations that align with organizational and departmental requirements and goals; and developing internal administrative, operational, and troubleshooting documentation in support of system UAT, go-live, and subsequent production and non-production environments.
The Systems Analyst will possess excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills, working effectively both independently and as part of a team (technical and non-technical).
Primary Responsibilities
Perform detailed analysis and documentation of current relevant systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, identify gaps, and develop recommendations for improvements.
Work with the team to assess, model, test, and document processes, integrations, workflows, and data flows.
Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment between system functionalities and business processes and requirements.
Ensure understanding and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (including security and privacy) and organizational policies.
Collaborate with relevant PM, and work with all stakeholders during system implementation and roll-outs of upgrades and updates.
Support the development, testing, and execution of any system and data migration plans, including data cleansing, mapping, and validation.
Assist with any UAT, training, and go-live readiness for relevant teams; ensuring identified issues are addressed and tested.
Provide go-live and post-launch support to address urgent issues.
Be the subject matter expert for selected applications providing administration and support (operational and project), including :
Performing system analysis, maintenance, upgrades, etc.
Setup and maintaining data dictionaries, databases, interfaces, reports, etc.
Ensuring proper backup and recovery.
Lead in the development, documentation, operationalization, and execution of relevant system administration and end-user support.
Work with stakeholders to develop and implement proper disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) for incident and help implement fixes.
Assist with management of user access, security roles, and permissions.
Liaise with vendors for escalated technical support to ensure SLA and SLO are met.
Provide and support training of relevant technical and non-technical users and staff. Participate and provide after-hours on-call coverage and support (operational and project).
Propose enhancements to improve system reliability and user experience.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging vendor recommendations, updates, and developments.
Support in the development and enhancement of policies and procedures of relevant systems.
Education
Experience
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – Agile / Waterfall.
ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
Database / SQL and system integrations (APIs, ETL).
