Job Summary: This role is responsible for analyzing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft-based infrastructure and systems with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity best practices. The ideal candidate will bring both technical depth and analytical skills to maintain system integrity, support user productivity, and ensure organizational security.
Job Location: London, ON – 100% onsite.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
Shift Structure: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (must be flexible to work other shifts based on project needs); OT if required.
Compensation Structure (Depending on experience):
Entry (1–3 yrs)
C$65,000–70,000 OR $33–35/hr
Mid-Level (3–7 yrs)
C$70,000–90,000 OR $35–45/hr
Senior (7+ yrs)
C$90,000–105,000+ OR $45–60+/hr
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and enhance current IT systems and business processes using Microsoft tools (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, AD, SharePoint).
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity solutions including endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
- Translate business needs into technical improvements or new systems.
- Troubleshoot and document system issues, minimizing operational disruption.
- Maintain systems documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Evaluate and deploy software/system upgrades with third-party vendors.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and industry standards.
- Conduct security audits and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Skills/Qualifications:
Required:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3+ years in a Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator, or similar IT role.
- Strong experience with Microsoft environments: Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows Server.
- Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including firewalls, endpoint security, and identity management.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
Preferred:
- Microsoft certifications (MSCE, MCSA, Azure, etc.)
- Experience with scripting/automation.
- Exposure to incident response or SOC environments.
Controlled Goods Security Assessment Requirements
- Must be either a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident for at least 5 years in Canada
- Willing to pass a criminal background check
- No bankruptcies in the last 7 years
- Have 2 personal references and 1 work reference who have known you for 5 or more years
- Have not left the country for more than 6 months in the last 5 years
