Digital Workplace and Platform Analyst

How does the role impact the organization?

Under the direction of the Manager, Digital Workplace and Platform Services, the Analyst, Systems Administrator role ensures the reliability, security, and optimal performance of server infrastructure across the organization. The Systems administrator collaborates with IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement system upgrades, and maintain business continuity.

What will your role be responsible for?

  • Maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are running efficiently, securely, and with minimal downtime.
  • Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system: update alerting agent scripts, create and monitor dashboards, and provide metrics and reporting.
  • Deploying, configuring, and managing infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth, including deploying and configuring new virtual servers.
  • IIS Configuration and Management: Installing, configuring, and managing IIS web servers, including setting up websites, virtual directories, application pools, and handling SSL certificates.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, including servers and related services.
  • Configuring, maintaining, monitoring, upgrading, and supporting network services, such as Active Directory and AD Replication, DNS, DHCP, SMB, DFSR.
  • Working with internal Security teams to remediate critical security findings and vulnerabilities on Servers and identity access management.
  • Performing upgrades, patches, and updates to virtual and physical infrastructure, applications, and server operating systems.
  • Assisting in the installation, configuration, and management of VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter server.
  • Managing and troubleshooting all aspects of Active Directory and Azure EntraID, including synchronization, infrastructure, and user accounts.
  • Creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining scripts, including PowerShell and Batch scripts to automate repetitive tasks for improved reliability and efficiency.
  • Participating in the planning and execution of technology projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and are delivered on time.
  • Creating and maintaining system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Providing off-hours support for critical and other production issues as part of the team on-call rotation.
  • Providing documentary evidence for IT auditors.
  • Coordinating and assisting in leading response efforts during IT disruptions or disaster events, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.

What do we expect from you?

To qualify, you possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, computer science, or equivalent proven IT work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience deploying, administering, and upgrading Microsoft Active Directory, AD Sites and Services, FSMO Roles, AD Replication, ADFS.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing internal and external DNS servers, records, and zones.
  • 2+ years of experience deploying, administering, and upgrading Windows Server and Client OS.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, comfortable communicating with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical, judgment, and management skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively with clients, vendors, and IT staff.
  • Advanced problem diagnosis and resolution skills, focusing on enterprise security, system reliability, and performance.
  • Ability to manage backups and restores via enterprise backup solutions like Commvault.
  • Experience managing and configuring Zerto or SRM and performing failovers in DR scenarios (nice to have).
  • Experience with managing enterprise hardware such as HPE Proliant, Synergy compute, HPE Nimble, MSA, and Alletra storage (preferred).

Salary Range : BC (based on education and experience): $75,000-$95,000 plus bonuses.
