Synthetic Chemistry – Tenure-Track Assistant Professor – Department of Chemistry, University of Waterloo

The Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science at the University of Waterloo invites applications from outstanding scholars and researchers for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in any area of Synthetic Chemistry, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025. In exceptional cases, an appointment at a more senior rank will be considered.

We are seeking candidates whose research interests will complement existing strengths in the Department.

The salary range for this position at the Assistant Professor rank is $105,000 to $125,000 per year.

  1. A cover letter explaining how your expertise and proposed research fit this position (addressed to Dr. John F. Corrigan, Chair of Chemistry).
  2. A curriculum vitae.
  3. A research proposal of up to 5 pages (plus 2 pages for references).
  4. A teaching and mentoring statement, including how you will contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive (EDI) academic environment (maximum of 2 pages).
  5. Up to 5 samples of recent research publications.
  6. The names, affiliations, and institutional email addresses of your three references (references will be invited directly by email to upload letters).
