Position: Switchboard Operator

This role is an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to clients and customers. If you are looking for a company that is constantly moving forward in pursuit of successful outcomes, get ready to love it here!

Hours: This is a permanent part-time position with a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation (7am to 3pm).

Note: Internal applications for positions within a bargaining unit must be received within 7 days of posting to consider seniority in the selection process.

Responsibilities:
  1. Answer, screen, and direct all incoming calls.
  2. Provide reception support.
  3. Direct visitors to the Health Centre.
  4. Monitor alarm and paging systems.
  5. Contact emergency services when required.
  6. Perform general office administration.
Qualifications:
  1. Secondary School Diploma.
  2. Previous switchboard experience is an asset.
  3. Intermediate computer skills, including MS Word; familiarity with AS/400 is preferred.
  4. Good work and attendance record.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to Homewood’s Core Competencies: Service Excellence, Innovation, Collaboration, Integrity.
  6. Commitment to working within Homewood’s Health & Safety Policy.
