A regional healthcare provider is looking for an experienced Clerk to support their Health Information department. The role involves maintaining patient records, answering phones, and managing various clerical tasks. Candidates must have a typing speed of 45 WPM and a Medical Terminology certification. Position Summary
Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed Clerk to support the Health Information department.
Under general supervision, performs clerical duties related to creating and maintaining patient records, record retrieval, assembly, quantitative analysis, release of information, and clerical duties relating to the admission and discharge of patients including registration. Performs a variety of clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, transferring calls, faxing reports, and restocking supplies. Receives and forwards calls and information utilizing a switchboard, public address, and related communications systems.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Days, Evenings, 06:30 to 11:30, 06:30 to 14:30, 10:00 to 18:00, 09:00 to 17:00 (rotating)
Ksyen Regional Hospital
The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. It is more than double the size of the previous hospital, featuring 82 beds, private rooms, and serving as a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.

Qualifications
Grade 12 and two (2) years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
