Job summary

Miller Waste Systems in Dartmouth, Ontario, is hiring a Swing Class 3 Driver to join our permanent full-time team. You will operate Front-End, Roll-Off, Boom, Cube Van, Rear Loader and Top Loader trucks, servicing Halifax and surrounding areas with a focus on safety and customer service.

Must hold a valid Class 3 licence, have a clean driving record, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and thrive in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence required.
• Clean driving record required.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Flexible with schedule; overtime/holidays/weekends may be required.
• Effective written and verbal communication mandatory.
• Strong attendance and performance history.
• Physically able to stand long and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate Front-End, Roll-Off, Boom, Cube Van, Rear Loader and Top Loader trucks.
• Ensure timely service and adherence to safety/environmental regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of roads in Halifax, Dartmouth and surrounding areas.
• Service customers per contractual requirements and schedules.
• Assist with residential collections during peak periods.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and productivity.
