We are hiring talented, energetic, engaging children's swim instructors for Burlington, ON.

Shift Details

Mid-week daytime shifts only

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum while ensuring fun!
2. Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents; make rescues and administer first aid when necessary.
3. Evaluate students’ performance to ensure ongoing improvement.
4. Interact with parents/guardians regarding students’ swim skill development; act as an ambassador to ensure parental satisfaction.
5. Use problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve student challenges.
6. Inspect pool areas before and after classes for maintenance, cleanliness, or damage issues; report concerns to management.
7. Maintain proper storage of all pool equipment and manage lane lines.
8. Report accidents and incidents to management and complete required documentation.
9. Perform light cleaning duties such as tidying the pool area and trash removal.
10. Participate in training sessions as required.

Requirements

Commit to working a minimum of two shifts per week.

Pre-requisites: Education/Experience

• Must be 16 years old on application.
• Current Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross or NL certification.
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED.
• Previous experience delivering high-quality swimming lessons is preferred.
