Sweet Peas Cottage is seeking a F/T Early Childhood Educator

Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $29.00~$32.00/hour (depending on experience)

Number of Positions: 1

Benefits:

  1. 5 days of paid sick leave
  2. Extended medical and dental benefits after 3 months

Job Duties:

  1. Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  2. Plan and conduct activities by reading stories and teaching songs.
  3. Set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and prepare snacks.
  4. Prepare reports for parents and supervisors regarding children’s behavioral issues and potential learning.
  5. Guide and assist children in eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  6. Maintain daycare equipment organized and sanitized.
  7. Help children to express their creativity and find interests through art, music, play, and physical activities.

Job Requirements:

  1. Experience: Experience is an asset.
  2. Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required.
