Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Engineer to architect, design, and develop technologies that deliver state-of-the-art vision capabilities across multiple robotic platforms.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Architect, design, and implement vision systems for robotic platforms.
  2. Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long-term vision and roadmap.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders across science and operations teams to iterate on design and implementation.
  4. Maintain high standards through reviews, fault-tolerance design, operational excellence, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
  5. Prototype and test concepts via simulation, emulators, and live robotic equipment.
  6. Work directly with customers and partners to test prototypes and incorporate feedback.
  7. Mentor other engineer team members.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
  • 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
