The delivery method is to be determined based on the Instructor hired:

SW 412 – Mental Health Services
This course examines the structure and function of mental health services in society with particular reference to the historical and theoretical foundations. Current practices, issues, and problems are reviewed.

The semester class period is from September 2, 2025 to December 5, 2025 with the final exam period running from December 9 to 22, 2025.

Sessional Lecturers that are teaching courses are expected to teach 13 synchronous classes throughout the semester (actual number of classes is TBD due to delivery method options).

Expectations for Sessional Lecturers include, but aren’t limited to, the following:

· Preparing the course outline, designing relevant assignments, evaluating and grading student work, and submitting student grades by the required deadline.
· Teaching course content that follows the course description, established learning objectives, and university academic guidelines.
· Delivering 13 lectures throughout the semester (number of classes dependent on the delivery method).
· Encouraging and maintaining a safe and collaborative classroom environment.
· Providing regular support to students on course work during office hours, and as required by students.
· Consulting with the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) on academic or student- related matters as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.

Social Work | University of Regina (uregina.ca) Position Requirements The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

· Master of Social Work ( MSW ) · Demonstrated related experience appropriate to the course content description as listed above; · Superior communications skills (both written and verbal); · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; · Recent teaching experience in a post-secondary environment is considered an asset. Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours The preferred delivery method is face to face in person. The day and times are flexible based on the Instructor hired. The Instructor may be eligible for coverage for travel costs. The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach lectures, be in the classroom or zoom classroom 10-15 minutes before each class starts, as well as offer regular office hours for their students each week.

Delivery method, days and times are flexible dependent on the Instructor hired, with preference for face to face in person delivery.
