About the ERM:
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function within Independent Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the principles articulated in Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and for the performance of specific enterprise-level risk management programs and processes that span the organization, the lines of defense and risk categories. These programs and processes include risk identification, risk appetite and limits, risk frameworks and policy, enterprise risk analytics / stress testing, new activity risk management, strategic risk management and climate risk pillars. The Head of ERM also oversees the Risk Transformation and reports directly to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
About the Team:
As part of the Data Transformation team for the ERM function, you will be part of a team responsible for establishing, maintaining, and communicating the Enterprise Risk Data and Tech transformation Management data strategy; defining scope and requirements; overseeing delivery of technology implementation roadmaps, ensuring that both business and regulatory requirements are met; and driving implementation and adoption of consistent data management standards and capabilities to support the ERMF adoption across the enterprise and relevant businesses / functions / regions.
This role sits within the ERM Data Transformation team, focused on the buildout of the foundational reporting data architecture in line with Citi's Data transformation journey. The focus will be to design and implement target state infrastructure and data flows to support our Enterprise risk functions including board and senior management reporting. This will include understanding the current and developing critical data element requirements for ERM Regulatory reporting, and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data as it travels from source (i.e. system or record) to output usage (i.e., endpoint consumption). In addition, the individual will assist in strengthening data governance across the ERM systems, aligning to new and related data management policies, guidelines and procedures.
About the Role:
The Senior Business Data Analyst role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate definition and execution of Risk requirements according to the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and Standard (CDGS). The role represents ERM on critical regulatory matters and serves as liaison with other internal teams (incl. Internal Audit) on critical Risk issues and oversees the implementation of related remediation plans. The role reports into the ERM, Data Transformation Execution Lead.
The Business Data Analyst position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to driving one or more Use Cases aligned to key BCBS-239 reports owned by ERM and ensuring compliance with Citi's Data Governance policies, standards, procedures and guidelines. This includes defining report content, identifying gaps in data quality controls to reduce risk, partnering and collaborating with ERM’s data consumers on data quality remediation challenges; working on data flows, processes, and procedures; ensuring data requirements are implemented, and that focus remains on the scope and commitments of each phase of the Risk-owned Consent Order Data Quality Plans to ensure proof of risk reduction. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of risk processes, systems and reporting, the Citi Data Operating Model, and a solid conceptual/practical grounding in ERM.
This role requires excellent data analysis skills, in addition to strong presentation / communication skills, in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas.
