About the role:

The Sustainability Specialist is a key member of the Global Sustainability team and supports efforts to advance Colliers’ global sustainability strategy. The incumbent is responsible for delivering cross-functional initiatives that support data management, decarbonization strategy, sustainable procurement, regulatory readiness, and internal and external reporting. This role blends subject matter knowledge in sustainability with strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
The incumbent works closely with global teams in People Services, Operations, Marketing, and regional leaders to support the integration of Colliers’ Global Sustainability Strategy ‘Built to Last’ and operationalize its commitments.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in climate and sustainability strategy implementation, ESG data platform integration and management, emissions accounting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), policy development, and stakeholder engagement, and thrives in a high-impact, fast-paced global environment.

  • Lead ESG program implementation: Deliver cross-functional sustainability initiatives, including emissions reduction targets, global fit-out guidelines, and procurement policy rollouts.

  • Drive data accuracy and platform integration: Manage ESG data systems for global emissions tracking (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and assurance readiness.

  • Assist with sustainability reporting: Support the creation of Colliers’ Global Sustainability Report and coordinate responses to third-party ESG assessments such as CDP, EcoVadis, and S&P CSA.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and global stakeholders: Partner with leaders in Operations, People Services, Marketing, and regional business units to integrate and embed the Built to Last strategy.

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and innovation: Conduct market analysis, lead policy training, and support continuous improvement via pilot programs and emerging technologies.

What you bring:

  • Degree in Business, Sustainability, Economics, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience, preferably in corporate real estate, ESG strategy, or sustainability program implementation.

  • Proven experience in emissions accounting, ESG data systems, and project management.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with ESG platforms is a plus.

  • Exceptional communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills, with an ability to work effectively in a global, fast-paced environment.
