Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking an Associate in our Sustainability Practice to advance ESG reporting and assurance engagements. You will help organizations manage sustainability-related risk and ensure trusted information for decision-making.

You’ll work with industry-leading clients across diverse sectors, developing governance, processes, and dashboards to measure progress. The role emphasizes collaboration, learning, and growth in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or completed post-secondary education and working to obtain or have obtained all Canadian CPA required prerequisite courses.
• An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, openness to learning new tools.
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas.
• Highly detail oriented with organizational and analytical skills; ability to ask questions to deliver quality.
• Willingness to travel to cities across Canada when safe.
• French language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Qualitative and quantitative research using ESG data.
• Develop and execute on assurance procedures related to ESG attestation engagements.
• Evaluation of organizations' processes & controls to support external reporting.
• Complex technical accounting and analysis of GAAP impacts related to ESG.
• Apply analytical skills and specialist knowledge with our client base.
• Assist in developing disclosures in accordance with ESG reporting standards and framework.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Assist clients in improving ESG reporting and building trust in sustainability performance.
• Support Greenhouse Gas reporting, quantification, and assurance.
• Participate in client meetings and assist in preparation of deliverables and reports.
• Assist in budgets, proposals, and marketing of services to new and existing clients.
