Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Site Performance Engineer to support Sustainability Infrastructure Services (SIS) projects. You will act as a Building Engineering SME, designing conceptual solutions and operating plans to optimize energy use, security systems, and facilities management across large commercial sites.

You will lead design review and energy performance activities, collaborate with CBMs and design teams, and travel up to half of the year to deliver projects from close through startup

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of energy management, building automation systems, security fire systems, and facilities management.
• Experience applying energy efficiency and lifecycle thinking to building projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and life-cycle costing.
• Ability to integrate M&E deliverables with FM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design meetings to provide energy and engineering advice during design and construction.
• Review sites for energy efficiency opportunities and operational improvements.
• Provide operational support to maintain KPIs at sites.
• Incorporate energy modeling inputs and oversee energy modeling work.
• Review equipment selections for energy efficiency, controllability, and maintenance.
• Assist in shop drawing reviews to ensure FM readiness through design and construction.
• Develop and improve maintenance, operating, and emergency procedures.
• Travel up to 50% to support multiple sites and projects.
