Nature's Touch is a global leader in the frozen fruits industry, supplying the retail and industrial sectors in North America, Australia, Taiwan and Japan. We provide a full range of products and support multiple private-label programs in addition to our own brands. We are also one of the largest buyers of fruit globally each year and continue to enjoy strong growth in this emerging category in retail. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic and determined professional to join our team as a Sustainability Coordinator.

The Role :

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, the Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for supporting the company's overall Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program. As such, the candidate would be working with our Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Food Safety, and Sales teams to support the priorities within our sustainability agenda, enabling us to deliver a positive impact for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure systematic and accurate collection and reporting of key KPIs, proactively identifying action plans to meet ESG requirements.
  • Support the planning and implementation of initiatives to demonstrate the organization's commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility.
  • Coordinate efforts with suppliers to ensure social compliance requirements are being met by suppliers.
  • Organize documents to meet customer requirements.
  • Produce the company's annual greenhouse gas inventory in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
  • Support the execution and identification of projects aimed at reducing scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Assist the regulatory affairs team with supplier compliance.
  • Respond to customer requests related to sustainability data collection.
  • Complete reporting for extended producer responsibility and other plastics-related regulations for Nature's Touch.

What You Will Bring :

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • No direct management.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education and/or work experience in sustainability, energy management, or business.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 1-2 years of experience in the CPG industry or a sustainability-related role in another sector.
  • Experience in energy management is an asset.

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex topics.
  • Familiarity with GHG emissions and the GHG Protocol, including scope analysis, decarbonization strategies, and related concepts.
  • Strong data gathering and analysis skills, with experience or a natural aptitude in this area being an asset.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset. Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make effective decisions.
  • Ability to promote a culture of sustainability.
