Job summary

Sustainable Fitch in Toronto is seeking an Analyst to join our office. You will apply analytical methodologies to assess sustainability impacts of entities and debt issuances, delivering timely written analyses supported by data.

You will monitor a portfolio of companies daily, stay current with global sustainability trends and collaborate with colleagues internationally to share knowledge and build expertise in ESG information and insights.

Qualifications

  • Degree in environmental science, social risk or governance disciplines, or economics/business/finance.
  • 1–3 years of sustainability experience and knowledge of current market themes and regulation.
  • Basic financial literacy and ability to work with data.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with initiative and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply Sustainable Fitch’s analytical methodologies and become familiar with the company’s approach to assessing the sustainability impact of various activities.
  • Carry out and deliver high-quality, timely written analysis on a suite of sustainability products and entities, supported by verified data.
  • Monitor a portfolio of companies daily.
  • Stay up to date with global sustainability trends, regulations, and sector-specific developments.
  • Interact with colleagues globally to leverage knowledge and gain international experience.
